Printed t-shirts manufactured at LeelineWear factory

Your Design. Our Factory. Your Label.

Custom T-Shirt Manufacturing — From Concept to Carton

At LeelineWear, we build custom t-shirts from the yarn up — not just print logos on blanks. Our Wuhan factory runs screen print, embroidery, and DTF under one roof, backed by 500+ certified fabrics from 140 to 300 GSM.

From first sketch to final carton, every step runs inside our four walls — no outsourced decoration, no third-party finishing, no finger-pointing when timelines get tight.

Silhouettes & Construction

Nine Silhouettes for Your Custom T-Shirt. Every Collar, Cuff & Cut.

Silhouette isn't just "crewneck vs V-neck." It's collar density, sleeve attachment, hem finish, and body block. These are the construction decisions that separate a $15 tee from a $60 tee — made from the exact same fabric.

Fabric Weight Guide

GSM Is the Single Most Important Decision for Your Custom T-Shirt

Grams per square meter determines how your custom tee drapes, how it prints, how it photographs, and how it wears over time. Most brands get this wrong once — we help you get it right the first time.

140 – 180 GSM

Lightweight

Hand Feel

Drapey, breathable, semi-transparent on lighter colors

Best For

Summer drops, gym tees, layering pieces, fashion-forward cuts

Print Performance

Best with DTF or water-based ink — plastisol may feel heavy on the body

Watch for: Not recommended for white or pastel solids without lining

200 – 240 GSM

Midweight

Hand Feel

Balanced structure with everyday comfort

Best For

The sweet spot for 90% of brands — promo merch, brand basics, retail, events

Print Performance

Excellent surface for all methods — screen print, DTF, and embroidery all perform cleanly

Watch for: Verify preshrunk status; some mills skip this at midweight

260 – 300 GSM

Heavyweight

Hand Feel

Substantial, structured, zero transparency

Best For

Streetwear drops, premium basics, luxury blanks, brands positioning on quality

Print Performance

Embroidery sits flat with zero puckering. Screen prints gain dimensional depth. DTF bonds permanently.

Watch for: Heavier fabric = higher unit cost and shipping weight. Worth it for margin-rich positioning.

Fabric Construction

Not All Cotton Is Equal — How the Yarn Is Spun Changes Your Custom T-Shirt?

When sourcing a custom t-shirt, two mills can sell you "100% cotton, 220 GSM." One will feel like sandpaper after ten washes. The other will get softer every time. The difference is in how the yarn is processed — and most factories won't tell you which one they're running.

Carded Open-End

Fibers carded once, spun open-end

Feel
Matte, slightly textured
Shrink
5–8% if not preshrunk
Wash
Good. Pills after ~30 washes

Budget blanks. Acceptable for event merch, not for brands.

Ringspun Cotton

Carded then ring-spun for twist and smoothness

Feel
Smooth, soft, print-friendly
Shrink
3–5% preshrunk
Wash
Very good. Minimal pilling at 50+ washes

The industry workhorse. Best value for brands that care about hand feel.

Combed Compact

Combed to remove short fibers, then compact-spun

Feel
Exceptionally smooth, almost silky
Shrink
2–3% preshrunk
Wash
Excellent. Holds surface integrity past 80 washes

Premium blanks. The fabric behind $60+ retail tees. Maximum print clarity.

Organic Cotton

GOTS-certified, ring-spun or combed, enzyme-washed

Feel
Soft, natural, broken-in from day one
Shrink
3–4% preshrunk
Wash
Very good. Ages gracefully with character

Sustainability story + premium hand feel. The margin-friendly eco option.

Custom mill sourcing available for specific fabric requirements — no added cost.

Decoration Methods

Screen Print, DTF, Embroidery, or Woven — Which One Belongs on Your Custom T-Shirt?

Decoration isn't an afterthought — it determines how your brand looks on a hanger, in a photo, and after 50 washes. Pick the method that matches your fabric and volume.

Screen Printing

Max Colors Up to 12
Best On Midweight & heavyweight cotton
Durability Outlasts the garment

Discharge, water-based, plastisol, puff, metallic, and high-density inks. Automatic and manual presses for tight halftone registration. No color count surcharge.

DTF Transfer

Max Colors Unlimited
Best On All fabric types and GSM weights
Durability 50+ washes, soft hand

Direct-to-film for photorealistic full color with zero minimum. No color count limits. Soft hand feel. Ideal for complex gradients, photos, and fine-detail artwork.

Embroidery

Max Colors Pantone-matched thread
Best On Heavyweight 260+ GSM cotton
Durability Permanent — zero degradation

Flat, 3D puff, chenille, and appliqué. Tajima multi-head machines. Soft fusible backing on every piece — zero skin irritation. Left chest, center chest, sleeve, and neck placements all run in-house.

Woven Labels

Max Colors Up to 8 thread colors
Best On All garments — neck, side seam, hem
Durability Permanent — designed to outlast the tee

Damask, satin, and taffeta weaves. Folded or straight-cut. Logo, size, care, and origin markings. Installed during production, not as an afterthought.

Garment Finishing

Same Blank. Four Finishes. Four Completely Different Products.

One production run. Four finishes. Four distinct price points for four different customer segments. That's how you build a tiered t-shirt line from a single blank.

Enzyme Wash

Removes surface fuzz, softens hand feel, gives a broken-in look without mechanical damage. The standard finish for premium blanks — customers feel the difference on first touch.

Garment Dye

Dyeing the finished garment instead of the fabric roll. Produces subtle color variation at seams and a lived-in character. Each piece is slightly unique — brands pay a premium for this.

Acid / Stone Wash

Chemical or pumice stone abrasion that creates a worn, vintage surface. Popular for streetwear, band merch, and Y2K aesthetics. The most dramatic transformation from blank to character piece.

Silicone Wash

Adds a slick, cool-to-the-touch hand and enhances drape. Common on performance and athleisure tees. Also improves fabric recovery — the tee snaps back to shape after stretch.

Your Fabric. Your Finish. Your Print. One Factory.

Every combination of fabric, finish, and decoration you've seen on this page flows through one production system — built around your spec, your brand, your timeline.

Quality Control

Three Inspection Gates for Your Custom T-Shirt

Most factories run one end-of-line check and call it QC. We inspect at three stages because catching a GSM deviation at the cutting table costs minutes. Catching it at the carton costs your launch.

1. Incoming Fabric

GSM verification (±3% tolerance), shrinkage test (3-cycle wash), colorfastness (AATCC 61), fabric fault scan, dye lot matching against approved swatch

2. Inline Production

Stitch density (SPI), seam strength (ASTM D1683), print alignment & registration, label position & orientation, needle detection on every piece

3. Pre-Shipment

AQL 2.5 random sampling, full dimensional check against approved PP sample, packaging integrity, carton labeling, barcode scan verification, shipment photo documentation

Private Label

Your Brand on Every Surface. Our Name on None.

A custom t-shirt is the most personal garment anyone owns. Every touchpoint — neck label, hang tag, poly bag, shipping label — either builds your brand or dilutes it. We make sure it's the former.

On the Tee

Woven damask neck labels with your logo. Screen-printed brand marks inside the collar. Tear-away and tagless options. Every identity detail engineered to survive years of wash and wear.

In the Box

Custom-printed poly bags, FSC-certified hang tags — die-cut and foil-stamped — with your brand story. Tissue wrap, sticker seals. The unboxing moment is part of the product experience.

At the Doorstep

Blind dropshipping to 40+ countries. Your brand on the shipping label. Your logo on the carton. We are the engine — invisible, reliable, never the face your customer sees.

Client Results

No Sales Pitches. Just Repeat Custom T-Shirt Orders.

We came to LeelineWear with a sketch, a moodboard, and 150 units of budget. They walked us through GSM options we didn't know existed, sent three rounds of samples at different weights, and delivered a heavyweight box-fit tee that our customers now call 'the one they reach for first.' Seven drops later, we've never had a single quality return.

7 drops — 0 quality returns
We ship branded tees to 12 country offices every quarter. Before LeelineWear, we juggled three suppliers across two countries. Now it's one email, one invoice, one delivery — and the tees arrive labeled, poly-bagged, and retail-ready for every market. They made our merch program boring. And boring is exactly what procurement wants.
